Thank You Birkwood Primary School

Hi Everyone,

Well, today has been very emotional, my sons leaving assembly at primary school. Tomorrow my little man is leaving primary school ready for starting high school in September.

The staff at Birkwood Primary school are absolutely fantastic. I cannot thank them enough for the start they have given my children and after being involved with this school for the last 10 years I can truly say I am honestly going to miss it.

I had several ideas on what I could craft for the teachers gifts. With it being Liams last year I would have like to have made something for most if not all the teachers but time was against me and I just didn't have time. Here are the presents and cards made for Mr Wood (Liams class teacher) and Mrs Allen (headteacher)

Mrs Allen's Card

Pearls are from That Craft Place
Flowers are from Wild Orchid Crafts
Doily cut on Silhouette Cameo

The image is coloured with Copics
Teddy - E57, E55, E53, R20
Pinks - R85, R83, R81
Lilacs - V25, V22, V20

I used the text function on the cameo and the fill function for the writing and then the offset function to cut out the writing

Again I used the text function and filled in black then print and cut for the bubble.
(and yes I needed lots of tissues at this point)

Mrs Allens gift:

The quote is from the Silhouette store and filled with a spotty paper pattern. The frame was just a little wider then A4 so I used Beresfords double sided silk ribbon down the edges in red to match the text colour (red is also the schools uniform colour)

Mr Wood's Card

Paper is a Silhouette chalkboard pattern that I have written over in white using the Silhouettes text tool
The scraps of paper and circle are all cut on the Cameo.
I used another Silhouette pattern to paper peice the desk

How hard is it to find a digi suitable for a male teacher! Very hard until the lovely Wendy from All Dressed UP designed this cool dude

Image is coloured with copics and glossy accents added to the gasses to give the shine.

Mr Woods gift

I used one of the many websites out there to create a word cloud using the names of all the children in Liam's class and also Mr Wood - 2014 - Class 6 and Birkwood.  Uncle Liam is Mr Woods nicname for Liam and has been all way through Liam being at Birkwood - he even had Uncle Liam put on the front of his leavers hoody!

Phew that was a long post from me today!

We have another celebration assembly at the morning to attend and then thats it. After 10 years we have finished at Birkwood Primary School. Now.....where did I put those tissues

Keep Smilin'
