MayzyArt Challenge #018 - Sweets!

MayzyArt Challenge  - Sweets!

Everyone loves sweets right? Well right now take yourself over to MayzyArts blog where the latest challenge is all about sweets! Discount codes for MayzyArts Shop are to be won. For my DT card I used Jean - a super sweet stamp from MayzyArt. Doesn't that cupcake just look so sweet.
Ok let me show you my card,

The stamp as I said was Jean from Mayzy Art. The base of the card I created myself using the largest of the XXL Frames Frilly #5 dies from Go Kreate I cut two out and scored one of them an inch from the top and used this folded over tab to glue to the front. I then cut a little off the bottom so the card wouldnt fall to one side with all the flowers. You can do this and have it as a rocker card if you dont have it loaded more at either side.

Here I have an apology to make, I didnt save my document where I keep a note of which colours and papers I used. The computer shut down on me and it was gone!

I hope you have enjoyed my 'sweet' card with the 'sweet' Jean and her 'sweet' cupcake. Did I mention the theme for this challenge was SWEETS!

I hope you can join us in this challenge I look forward to seeing all your entries.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges

No. 1 Headteacher - Mrs Allen!

Mrs Julie Allen took over as the headteacher at my sons school a couple of years ago and the difference she has made to the school since then is amazing. On Friday she was awarded Headteacher of the year for the North award. Well deserved in my opinion. I have sent Mrs Allen many cards and handmade gifts in the past at the end of year and Christmas as you do and have always received heartfelt thanks for them so as soon as Liam told me about Mrs Allens fantastic award of course out came the stamps and pens and dies and lace and flowers and....well you get the picture right. So here is what I came up with .

The card base was made by die-cutting two spellbinders grand nestabilities and folding over the top inch of one and sticking it to the other. I then trimmed a little off the bottom to stop the card rolling to one side due to the weight of the flowers.

The words INSPIRE, CHERISH, ACHIEVE, TOGETHER make up the schools logo so using the Lili of the Valley sentiment tags and masking out the words already on the stamps, I printed out the words and stamped the outline of the tags around them.

The stamp I used was Lili of the Valley- Teddy Bouquet and coloured with promarkers and copics.

Promarkers used:
Teddy: Cocoa, Caramel, Satin, Ivory,
Flower wrap: Apple, Leaf green, Meadow Green
Flowers: Amber, Tequila Sunrise

Copics:
Flowers, tag & Envelope: R85, R83, R81

I hope you have enjoyed this post, I hope Mrs Allen liked her card and most importantly....I hope Liam got it to her in one piece!!

Keep Smiling

Decorating the middle has really brightened up my cards a lot.

TEDDY: CORNFLOUR, PLUE PEARL, PASTEL BLUE,

Mayzy May Blog Hop

Mayzy May Blog Hop

Hi! Thanks for joining in the fun with Mayzy May Blog Hop. If you havent started at the beginning please hop back over to MayzyArt and have a read on how you can win a goregous prize in our blog hop.  I
hope you have enjoyed the amazing projects you have seen
so far from the other DTs/Guest DTs. When asked to
choose my favourite MayzyArt stamp I knew I couldnt just
pick one! So I picked three!
The three stamps I used are MALLORY, TEXTING TRIXI & CHANTELLE
So - onto the card:

I used my new hougie board to score the card (I gotta admit this was about the 5th attempt at this fold) I love this fold as it looks so different and fun and yet folds into a DL envelope. Nothing special needed.

I didn't want to use lots of backing papers to distract from the images so settled on using a Sizzix embossing folder.

Mallory, Chantelle & Trixi

These little sentiment tags are from Lili of the Valley and come with 36 tags in the set.

I wanted to stick to the brown and pink tones throughout the card so stuck to the following colours in promarkers and copics.

SKIN: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Antique Pink, Baby Pink
HAIR: E21, E25, E27, E29
CLOTHES/SHOES: RV000, R81, R83, R85, Cocoa, Caramel, Sandstone.

I hope you have enjoyed my blog hop entry...all that's left is for me to give you the next word for you to collect which is:

"I'm"

Collect the special words from all the DT and guest DT blogs and see full instructions on MayzyArt blog of how to enter to win a fantastic prize!
So now it's time for you to hop along to the next blog - Mandz! Have fun

Thank you Manda!

Last week I was lucky enough to win some blog candy from Manda's blog . I received some lovely goodies play with and cant wait to get stuck in. I wanted to show my thanks so came up with this card:

This 'cheeky' chap is from Redonkadoodles (formerly Redonkulous Designs) and is such a fun image to colour in. I've used him a few times now with sentiments such as 'Have a "cracking" birthday', 'Here's a "cheeky" birthday wish for you". He's such fun and can be used for most occasions.

The tag sentiments are from Lili of the Valley. and come in a set of 36 so you get a wide variety and have most occasions covered.

colours used are:
Copics:
HAT/SHOES: E21, E25, E27, E29
Promarkers:
SKIN: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Bluh, Antique Pink,
TOP: PUNPKIN AMBER GOLD
JEANS: MIDNIGHT B, DENIM B, PASTEL B
FLOWERS: RV000, R81, R83, R85, LUSH GREEN, SUNFLOWER, TULIP Y, BUTTERCUP,
HEARTS: CRIMSON, BERRY RED, LIPSTICK RED
PAPERS: FIRST EDITION PAPERS FAMILY TIES.

I've really fell in love with decorating the inside of my cards too.

There was no way this was going in an envelope with all those flowers so I made a matching box.

Ta Daaaaaa!

I really hope Manda liked the card.

Thanks for joining me today, please come back tomorrow theres going to be something very special happening over at Mayzy Art!!

Would love to read all your comment. Leave your blog addy and ill follow you back

MayzyArt Challenge #017 -For The Boys

MayzyArt Challenge #017 -For The Boys

It's time for another challenge over at MayzyArt and the theme for this one is 'For the Boys' Mayzy has some fab images for boys so choosing which one to use was hard as there are so many fab ones. I decided to go for soccer/football lad

Before I show you my card let me tell you about something amazing coming up next Saturday for you. We, the DT team on MayzyArt are going to be joined by several guest DTs and are having a MayzyArt Blog Hop. There will be some great prizes to be won. Start at MayzyArts blog on Saturday 18th May for a list of DT and Guest DTs blogs. Have fun!

Now onto my card for this challenge:

I just love this cute little lad. My son used this card to give to a friend for his birthday a few days ago. I hope he liked it!

Now for the stash list:
Hair (copics): E21, E25, E27, E29
Promarkers:
Skin: Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blush, Baby Pink.
Clothes, Crimson, Berry Red, Lipstick Red, Sunflower, Tulip Yellow, Buttercup,
Shoes: Black, Cool grey 5, 4, 3 Ice Grey 1.

The sky and grass are both done using pan pastels.

The grass effect is achieved by rubbing pan pastels over the card for the base in green. Then, taking a grass stamp ink it up with versamark clear and stamp over the top of the base. Using the same green sponge without putting more panpastels on it gently dab over the versamark till the green panpastel has gone darker where the versamark was. I might even be brave and make a tutorial on how to do that one day lol!

Anyway thats my card. Check out MayzyArts blog for the other DT members great cards and have a go yourself. Cant wait to see what you come up with

Keep Smiling.
