Another DT!

Hi everyone.

Remember a few weeks ago I applied for a DT position on Dr Digis team? Well I am very pleased and proud to confirm that I was accepted!
So watch out on the Dr Digi blog on Thursdays where every week a new card from me will be featured.(Would be great if you stopped by every day and checked out the other DT creations too of course)

So who better to use for my first card for then Deirdery and her pooch!

The image is Salon Deirdery found HERE
The papers are some digi papers I have on my computer in an unnamed folder from before I was organised and saved names!
The writing is all done on the Cameo.
And that's it. I think this image speaks for itself and doesn't need a lot adding to the card.

The image was coloured with Promarkers for the skin and Copics for everything else.
I added a little glossy accents to Deirdery's glasses too.

Next week I will be bringing you another Dr Digi card using the fabulous Mr Speaker (Birthday)

That Craft Place - Colour Palette

Hi everyone,

I'm back with another challenge from one of my favourite places on the web That Craft Place.

I am soooo excited that my and the hubster have booked a weekend away just for us (the kids are staying with my sister) and we are off to Eastbourne for a few nights so I can visit That Craft Place for real! Roll on March. Anyway, onto the challenge. Out theme this time is a colour palette for you:

Here is my DT card:

The image is Gothica from Saturated Canary. Gothica is one of many digis that Krista is retiring soon so if you want her hurry and grab her before she is gone for good.
The card blank, boarder, oval and corner were all cut on the Cameo
The lace, pearls and distress ink (frayed burlap) are all from That Craft Place.
Papers are free digi papers from Sugarplum Paperie - Paper Daisies

The image is coloured with Copics

Head back to That Craft Place challenge blog now and add your entry. Please check our my teamies DT cards while you are there.

Happy Birthday Gus....I mean Dad!

Hi everyone,

now Christmas is over it's time to get cracking with the Birthday cards for the year. Already 2 down, the next is my lovely Dad's on Monday. 69 and honestly looks and acts a lot lot younger. Still goes to the gym everyday although he spends more time exercising his voice chatting to everyone then actually working out but that's my dad for you...talk the hind leg off a donkey...I wonder who that sounds like.....

Anyhooooo, as soon as I think of cards for my dad there is only one image comes to my mind. Gus from Bugaboo. Im sure Jodie over at Bugaboo must know my dad because Gus is Roy! They are perfect for him. And as my dad has a wicked sense of humour I knew he would see the funny side of this digi. So let's have a look...

The image is Gus Birthday Reaper from Bugaboo stamps.
The digi papers are from Barnyard Blowout Paper Set 1 from Raspberry Road
All shaped and wording has been cut on the Silhouette Cameo available from That Craft Place.

I want to take a minute to explain another cool feature the cameo has that I have only just found. If you have the designer edition for the software (highly recommended) you can drag your digi papers from a folder on your computer into the 'my patterns' part of your cameo library. What this does then is allows you to fill a shape with that paper and cut just that shape -saving you ink. So on this card you see the denim frame around Gus. Previously I would have printed out the digi paper which comes 8" x 8". I would then load that into the cameo and cut the shape out of the printed paper. Now using the fill I can fill the shape with the denim paper and it will only print that shape not a whole 8x8 square. The nusing the registration marks you can load into the cameo and cut out your filled in shape. Sounds complicated but after a few times its a doddle and saves so much wasted ink and card.

The image is coloured entirely with Copics.
The sentiment comes from Bugaboo with the digi as a separate file but I have merged them onto one for this card.

Thanks for stopping by. Come back on Sunday for my next DT project with the amazeballs That Craft Place. Hopefully time willing I might have my dads other card from my children ready to blog before then tomorrow.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

All Dressed Up - New releases and a BLOG HOP!

Hi Everyone,

Our first All Dressed Up challenge & release of 2014 is here...and what a fantastic release it is.

Both our teams have joined together for this Challenge/Release, and we are also having a blog hop !

We have four new releases this month, all of which can be found over on the store
Our theme for the challenge is "Anything Goes".

A nice and easy theme to start the new year with.
Here is my design team card for this challenge.

I have used Little Bookworm which you will find  here
I have coloured the image with Copics. The card blank and everything on there is cut on the Cameo.
I have used the cameo to cut the rolled roses too.
The ribbon is a sequin ribbon from the Range at a bargain of £1 for 3m! It has wire running through the edges so holds a bow shape beautifully.

The challenge will run until 1st February and the winner will receive 3 images of their choice from the store
Please make sure you stop by the blog to check out the rest of the talented Dressy Girls creations.

Now as I said earlier we are also having a blog hop for this challenge, two lucky winners will receive 2 images of their choice from the store, in order to be in with a chance of winning you have to visit every blog on the hop list and leave a comment by the date shown below. Two winners will be picked at Random by two of the Dressy Girls on Wednesday 22nd January . We know we have quite a few Dressy girls, so we have spread the hop over a week to give you all plenty of time to hop along.

If you have been following the hop list you have arrived here from Bettina.
Make your way next to visit Trudie and check out her fab creation.

Here is the hopping list so you don't get lost along the way.

Digi Galore - Monochrome

Hi everyone

I do like a challenge and nothing is more challenging for me then a new designer who I haven't worked with before and MONOCHROME. So when the lovely Erin told us over at Digi Galore DT that todays challenge was to be Monochrome and sponsored by Rick St Dennis I had to pull on my big girl pants and do my best.

The challenge is over at Digi Galore blog and as I said is sponsored by Rick St Dennis who are offering the winner a choice of 2 digis. Wow there are so many digis to choose from. Heres which I went with:

The image is Joanie the Flower Child and can be found HERE.
The card blank, tag, swirls and flowers were all cut on the Cameo. The white swirls on the tag were drawn with a white sketch pen in the cameo.
I finished off the image with a little but of blank polka dot washi tape.
Lace is from That Craft Place.
The papers are the fill patters preloaded into the Cameo Software (did I tell you before this machine ROCKS!)

The image is coloured entirely with the C copics from C0 up to C10 and 100black.

Head back to Digi Galore now to check out the other DT members monochrome cards and to add your entry.
