Hi everyone, it's time for another challenge over at the fabulous That Craft Place challenge blog.
This week our theme is MONOCHROME.
Until recently I had never tried this but on making a couple of monochrome cards I've come to really enjoy it. The effect is stunning. Take a look back at the challenge blog at my DT teamies cards for some amazing projects this week.
Here is mine:
The image is 'Whispy' by Saturated Canary available HERE. The card base was made on the Silhouette Cameo (available from That Craft Place with a range of accessories). I used a basic nested shape and popped 3 butterflies down the side and welded the shapes together to cut out as one peice. I cut this out twice. Scored one of them 1 inch in. folded this flap over and glues to the front to create the card. :) The rolled roses are also a cut file on the cameo. And the image and mats are also done on the cameo using the print and cut feature (it really is an amazing machine!)
The black swirls and feathers are also available from That Craft Place. The dies are Precious Hearts from Memory Box, a range of dies are also available from That Craft Place.
The image was coloured using the Ice Greys and Cool Greys promarkers and also the black.
Head over to That Craft Place Challenge Blog for details on how to enter. I can't wait to see what you all come up with.
