Windmills...Windmills!!

Hi everyone

WOW I am super excited to show you something I have been working on this weekend. Everyone in the Schofield household is made up with this horrible cold that is going round so nothing much other than crafting has been done. So let me show you - there are a lot of photos!

I wanted a change from making a card so took a look around Sandra's Scrapshop - for anyone who has a cameo or likes to use templates to cut 3d projects out  Sandra's Scrapshop is the place to be. She has some beautiful designs, many of which I have already done but this is one of the most detailed one i've done. Total time spent on this project was about 15 hours (over two days - told you I did not much else!)

So let me show you.....

Ta...Daaaaa
It even opens up so you can store a little surprise in for the recipient. (there are instructions how to attached ribbon to tie it closed but since this is for just on my desk I have left the ribbons off)
Those little windows are just too cute. I have backed them with acetate and added some lace to look like net cutains (see later close up photo)
The back beams lend support to the top of the windmill.

Another of those cute cute windows
More lace and pearls. I made a bow to cover the middle of the windmills sails (are they called sails??)
The file from Sandra comes with 'Anno 1878' writing but since this is for me to keep I decided to put our family name and the year me and my husband married.
Of course every windmill needs a door right?

Those net curtains I mentioned previously

I added lots of flowers dotted about and also created roof tiles using part of another file of Sandra's.

Phewwww Ok on to my supply list :
Keep Smilin'
