Merry Christmas from That Craft Place - and a challenge!

This is probably going to be my last post of 2013. Wow I have now been blogging for 8 months and wow that 8 months has been amazing!! I cannot wait for 2014 in blogland. I would like to wish all my followers a very Merry Christmas

The papers are from Klouisedigiart on Etsy.

The feathers, ribbon and lace are from That Craft Place.

The corner flourishes were cut on the Silhouette Cameo

 

 

The image is coloured with copics which are now also available from That Craft Place

 

 

I used the same papers inside and my favourite Christmas rubber stamp.

All Dressed Up - CHRISTMAS!

Hi everyone, how's everyones Christmas plans coming along? Hope you all manage to squeeze in some crafting time among all the hustle and bustle.

 

Today it's time for another challenge and new release over at All Dressed Up challenge blog

 

 

The these for this one is of course - Christmas  but Clean and Simple style. I have to say I have never been a huge fan of CAS but having made this one I have ended up making quite a few similar cards for my family this year. The saying is true sometimes less is more.

 

Anyway here is my DT card using the two new releases over at All Dressed Up

 

 

The first of my cards is using the new release Christmas Postie. I used copics to colour the image and some silver double sided satin ribbon. The card I used for matting is a very dark silver pearl card I found in a local craft shop.

 

 

Ok normally I only do one DT card per challenge but forgot I had already made the other one when I made this so decided to use both anyway. This one is AllDressed Up for Christmas new release and coloured again with copics. I used silver mirri card and use the sketch pens in the silhouette cameo to draw the border and write the greeting in silver which you cant see as my flash killed it on the photo!

Digi Galore - Anything Goes

Hi everyone, first of two DT posts today. First up is Digi Galore.

 

 

 

We have a fab Anything Goes challenge to bring you today with an amazing prize. A gift certificate for a digi store of the winners choice! How amazing is that!

 

 

The image is Xmas Xfiles from Dr Digi. I used the cameo to cut out the lettering and the papers are from a selection of artists over on Etsy. I think I must have been on the Christmas Sherry when I made this one as its as straight as a dogs back leg! I love this image and can't wait for the recipient to see it.  

 

I used copics to colour the image.

Maybe a little too adventurous!

Hi everyone,

 

Apologies for my Advent posts stopping. I have been ill recently and had both kids off school and with Christmas just around the corner.....well let's say blogging twice a day was getting a little bit much. I am snowed under right now with a last minute order for Christmas cards and some super super news I have had this morning (more about that in January.....) so I am going to leave you all with one last final Christmas card. After this post there will be two posts from me on Sunday with DT cards and one final one on the 22nd and then that will be it until the New Year. Time to pack up the craft room, break out the mince pies and chocolates and spend some much needed (and deserved I think) quality time with my little family. Thank you to all my followers and supporters through the year. Far too many of you to mention so thank you to you all!

 

Merry Christmas!!!

 

 

The images used on this one are Bobbi and Stocking & Bobbi and Xmas Tree from Digistamp Boutique. I merged both digis together and printed off to give the one image.

The writing and edging were done using the Sketch pens on the Silhouette Cameo. I love the CAS look of this card. I think the more CAS cards I am making the more I am enjoying them!

 

The image is coloured with Copics.

 

 

I used the sketch pens again on the inside of the card. The Merry Christmas is done in a pearlised dark silver and the rest in a normal metallic silver.

Advent - December 10th - Post 2

Hi everyone

 

Next on my advent blog posts is a card I made using one of my favourite stamps from Lili of The Valley.

 

 

The image is Father Christmas from Lili of the Valley

The papers are from Nordic Christmas paper pads by First Edition Papers.

I used red shimmer dome stickers from Papermania

 

 

I used Copics to colour the image (promarkers for the skin)

 

Midnights card is going to be using another image from Lili of the Valley too!

Advent - December 10th - Post 1

Hi everyone,

 

I'm back with yet another image from All Dressed Up. I am on the DT for All Dressed Up and absolutely love what we have had to work with so far and cannot wait to work with Wendy, Tracy, Marylin and all the other Dressy Girls in 2014.

Advent - December 9th - Post 2

Hi everyone 

I think I will be seeing Christmas cards in my sleep soon! 

Here is another card using one of Wendys fab Christmas images from All Dressed Up 

The image is Tra La La by All Dressed Up images.

The papers used are from  SonyaDeHart Designs on Etsy

The snowflake boarder was made using the Woodware Crafty Edger with the snowflake cassette. 

Copics were used to colour the entire image

I will be back at midnight with another card using All Dressed Up images - next one It's Snowing!

Hi everyone, 

WOW 9th already! This month is going way too fast! Todays card is made using another of my favourite digi designers - Saturated Canary

The image is Tree Topper

Banner, snowflake, 'Dec 25' and the tag were all cut on the Cameo

The papers are Merry Magic from Dovecraft 

I have used Copics to colour the image and Promarkers for the skin. 

Merry Magic papers were used again inside the card. 

Pop back at midday for my next Christmas card which will be another All Dressed Up image,

Advent - 8th December - Post 2

Hi everyone,

I do hope people are enjoying these posts and not fed up of seeing my blog on your blogger timeline / bloglovin or however you follow me. I would love some feedback in my comments please.

Onto my next card now.

 

The image is from Karen's Doodles called Snowmen Carolling and is one I won in a challenge

recently. The digi papers are a mixture from different desiners over on Etsy. (I really need to stop going on Etsy to search digi papers before I need a second mortgage)

The Merry Christmas greeting was cut on the Silhouette Cameo.

I coloured the image with Copics (I use both Sketch and Ciaos)

 

I will be back with another post as always at midnight - this time a card using a Saturated Canary image.

That Craft Place - Christmas!

Hiya everyone,

 

 

 

It's time to take a break from my advent posts as it is time for another challenge over at That Craft Place. This fortnight our theme is - of course - Christmas!! We are sponsored by the amazing All Dressed Up digital stamps who I am also on the DT for so this challenge is super exciting for me.

 

 

 

I am such a big kid when it comes to Christmas. I love love love everything about it and just can't wait.

 

Anyway here is my DT card.

 

 

The image I used is called It's Snowing and I have to say this has been one of my favourite digis this Christmas I think I have done about 10 cards with this on. You will see most of them if you are following my advent posts. I am posting a Christmas card every 12 hours at midnight and midday everyday from now until Christmas.

The papers are Home For Christmas from Papermania.

Advent - December 8th - Post 1

Hi everyone,

 

Here is a different style of card from me - no colouring!

 

I decided there are some people I am sending a card to who prefer a more traditional approach and whilst I love making cute modern stamped cards I realise they don't suit everyone.

 

This has to be one of the simplest easiest cards to make and are great when you are in a rush as the Silhouette Cameo does everything for you.

 

 

Both cards are the same but on the second one you can just vaguely see where I have scored a diamond pattern into the card at the back using my Hougie Board.  Everything on here was cut on the Silhoutte cameo using free cut files from Birds Cards

 

 

I have made this one in a few different colours now and also have a few in my 'spares' box in case I have forgotten anyone!

 

I will be back at midday with another Christmas card - and also before that with yet another for the latest That Craft Place challenge which should go live at 9am if blogger plays nicely.
