Shake It Baby!

Hi everyone,

Who made it rain! Boy has it rained today! Nothing else for it - on a gloomy wet day today there is nothing to be done other than crafting. Combine that with a fday off work and that makes a perfect day to me!

So today I made a card a friend asked me to make for her baby grandson's upcoming 1st Birthday. The only instructions was that the baby's hair had to be ginger - a haircolour I haven't attempted before!

It's A Girl

Hi everyone,

I hope you have all had a lovely crafty evening. I have! I kicked the hubby off to work (overtime on his day off too!) and he kids are both in their rooms doing their thing so tonight it has just been me, my copics, Ribbon Girl products and soaps catch up on the TV!

I had no idea what I was going to make tonight so I just made it up as I went along.

I don't actually know anyone having a baby but I love this image and wanted to use it so this is one for the pile gathering dust in my craft room.

I hope you are all having a crafty weekend! No crafting for me here this weekend yet, but it is my day off work tomorrow so all that will be about to change I am sure!

Tonight I want to show you a card I made for my daughters 16th birthday a few days ago.

Not one but two Tildas!

Hi all

I have been seeing a lot of posts recently of crafters making 'lollipop' cards. I fancied having a go myself but after finishing the lollipop I wanted to find a way of standing it up so it can be on display. At the time I was being very naughty and tucking into a tub of pick'n'mix sweeties from Tesco. I looked at the near empty carton and an idea formed. Once empty I decorated the carton, cut slits in the lid  and then threw on papers, ribbon, lace, flowers - the whole shebang! Originally my idea was to keep the lid removable and have this as a savings money box to store loose change in and save up for more craft supplies. However the lollipop ended up being a little too heavy and with the additional thickness of ribbon and lace the lid wouldnt stay on so I ended up gluing the lid into place. Still a very pretty decoration for my craft room don't you think?
