The countdown is on!

Hi everyone

I hope you are all well today.

Todays project is something very different for me. There is a little background to this project. I have been in my current job 12 years now. My boss is a lovely lady who is originally from America but moved to Gibraltar where our offices are based.(I work online from home for those that don't know)  Since then she travels home a few times a year and always counts down the days leading up to a trip home. This time when Sue flies home she has to fly Gib to London and then stay overnight before flying back out to America the morning after. Well, she invited me and my hubby to go spend the evening with her at her hotel and go out to dinner. Now as I said I have worked for Sue for 12 years now but I have only ever met her in person once before and that was in 2007!! So I am very very excited and decided I wanted to make her something to say thank you for inviting us. I thought of a few ideas and then it came to me to make a little hanger for in her office or home so she can see how many days before shes next home!

This is the first time I have used blackboard paint and now I want to paint the whole house with it! I love it!!!

Saturated Canary - Zoe

Hi everyone

It's FRIIIIIIDAYYYYY! Can I get a WOOP WOOP

Ok so I am working all weekend this weekend but still - its Friday! Time to show a card I actually finished midweek but was too tired to blog it at the time and then forgot yesterday.

I used one of my favourite Saturated Canary images (I know - they are all favourites) but this one is difference. I love it but I have never coloured her before because to be honest that hair scared the bejeebies out of me. So I pulled on my big girl pants and did it. And just cos I never make things easy for myself I decided to do it with Polychromos as well. This is only the third image ive coloured using them. In for a penny, in for a pound......

EDIT - I have just had some great news!! We all love Saturated Canary right? And we are all sad that Krista closed the doors. WELL, the image I have used on this card is still available through the amazing Make It Crafty. MIC has a range of colouring tutorial E-books (I have the creases one and HIGHLY recommend it). There is also a colouring long hair in fine detail e-book and with that one you will receive this image 'Zoe' Take a look HERE.
Take a look at some of the other colouring tutorial e-books HERE

Saturated Canary - Ellie's Birthday

Hi everyone

So I was a very very lucky crafter this week. A fellow crafter was looking for a new home for her full set of Faber Castell Polychromos. I have heard so many crafters rave about them that they were on my Christmas list (yes I already have one!) for this year - but I fluttered the eyelids at the hubby and cooked him his favourite meal and said Polychromos came to live with me.

I originally wanted them to go with my Copics to deepen shaded areas etc but as soon as I got them I just had to try a full image with them. Now the first one I did was a little rough and so that one is for my eyes only but this card is the second attempt at colouring a full image. I cannot beleive how nice these pencils are to colour with. And how easy do they blend! No solutions needed just lots of layering and patience!

So let's take a look at the card
