New challenge - That Craft Place - Buttons!

Hi everyone.

My last post for March - wow what a busy month it has been!

To end the month we have a fab challenge over at That Craft Place where out theme is

We want to see what you can create using everyones favourite embellishment - Buttons!

I have a friend on Facebook who has recently had a little baby girl who is absolutely beautiful! I was looking for an image and wondering which to use when I came across this little sweetie on Digistamp Boutique. Now I know Rebecca (Mum) is absolutely mad on rabbits and guinea pigs. So when I saw this image with the bunny on the bib I knew this was the one!

The babygrow shape is a cut file from the Silhouette Store and cut on the cameo.
The paper is Paper Daisies from Sugarplum Paperie

I used the Cameo Sketch Pens to write the message inside the card.

The image is coloured entirely with Copics.

Head on back to That Craft Place now to add your entry and check out the rest of the DT's button projects.

Digi Galore - Alter A Can!

Hi everyone,

It's challenge time again over at Digi Galore and today we are sponsored by the lovely MayzyArt.

Our theme is Alter A Can. Altering things isn't something I do very often I have only really done the pringles tubes so this was a challenge for me. I scoured Pinterest for some ideas but as usual the idea I started out with in my head is nothing like the can I ended up with!

I started off with an empty washed out tin of baked beans:

TO THIS.....

The image is 'Jean' from Mayzy Art which I fussy cut out on the Cameo
The papers I used to cover the can are from Love Story 2 by Jessica Sprague
I used lace, feathers, metal corners and heart pins from That Craft Place
The beaded twirls are from The Ribbon Girl

The image is coloured with Copics:
Hair: E29, E27, E25, E21
Skin: E33, E11, E21, E00
Light Pink: RV10, RV000, RV0000
Darker Pink: R81, R83, R85
Lips & Cherry E07

Head over to Digi Galore blog now to have a look at what the other DT have done with their cans.

It's Dr Digi Day!

Hi everyone,

Thursday again already and todays Dr Digi card features my two favourite Dr Digi characters, Derek and Deirdery. The card is for my mum and dad who celebrate their 51st wedding anniversary on Sunday. 51 years! I don't know which one of them deserves the medal the most hehehe.

The image is called Derek and Deirdery Dunderton from HERE. The image is also available to buy pre-coloured so if you are in need of a quick topper or colouring isn't your thing its good to know that Dr Digi does provide images already coloured in for you.

The papers are also from Dr Digi HERE

The card shape, hear swirl and lettering was all cut on the Cameo
(YES! Christine you really do need one!)

I used the same papers on the inside.
The pearly hearts are from That Craft Place HERE (you will need to join the That Craft Place group if you are not already a member)

The image is coloured entirely with Copics.

Join me back here next Thursday with another fab image from Dr Digi.

I heart you!

Hi Everyone,

I'm bringing you another card from Art By Miran, a digi company I have only very recently started using but OMG they are some of the sweetest most adorable images out there. I had been seeing this image around Facebook and Pinterest and although I'm supposed to be on a craft-spending diet this month I just couldn't resist and for £1.88 when you can use over and over again how can you not!?!?!

So here's my card:
The image is A Rainy Day by Art by Miran found HERE
The cardstock is New Lilac Smooth 240gsm and White Card Plain 240gsm both from Papermill Direct
A range of flowers, pearls and ribbon are available from That Craft Place
The paper used is Just Breathe from Raspberry Road
All shapes and the card base were cut on the Silhouette Cameo which is available with a range of accessories from That Craft Place

The image is coloured with Copics
Hair: E57, E33, E55, E31, E50
Skin: E33, E11, E21, E00
Eyes E57
Top: V25, V22, V20

I had a really good rummage in my flowerbox and used lots of different flowers and berrys on this one. I finished them off with a bling button

I used the Just Breathe papers again on the inside to finish the card off.

The card is 8"  x 8"

YEP IT'S NUMBER 7!

Hi everyone,

Those of you who follow my blog recently will have read that the owner of one of my DT That Craft Place has started designing her own range of digi stamps Ditzie Digi Designs. Well, Lisa decided that rather then have That Craft Place DT members cover Ditzie Digi Designs as well, a better idea would be to have a separate DT for both, one for the shop and one for the digis. As an existing member of That Craft Place DT I was invited to apply got the Ditzie Digi Designs team too and who could resist! Ditzies images are just fantastic. I have never yet seen a digi range that suits so many different tastes. There is something for everyone from cuties to elegant ladies to steampunk. I am very proud to announce that I was accepted and now have another DT under my belt.

Ditzie Digi Designs have chosen an amazing bunch of DT Ladies and  are going to do a little show case of each and everyone of them !!

If you visit their blog and comment on there announcement every day until the Challenge Blog starts
6th of April you will be put in a Prize Draw winning you a whopping £10 to spend in at Ditzie Digi Design's Etsy...There will also be spot prize's for others so make sure you say hi to the new DT ladies. Yesterday was the first of our team Shell and today is my turn! Be sure to leave me a comment to be in with a chance at the Prize Draw!

Here are a few of my recent cards using Ditzie Digi Design images. Be sure to come back for our first challenge on 6th of April.

It's Dr. Digi Day!

Hiya everyone,

These Thursdays come round so fast!

Time for another Dr Digi card and this week I used one of my favourite digi guys - Derek! I just love Derek and his wife Deirdery.

The image is Run Derek Run from Dr. Digi found HERE
The digi papers are also from Dr. Digi called Lots of Dots and are HERE
The card shape, writing and stars were all cut on the Cameo. I also used the cameo to fussy cut the shape and the green layer underneath. Here is how we do that:

The image is coloured entirely with Copics and I used some double satin ribbon and a little printed 'FINISH' to create the finish line.

I hope you can pop back next Thursday when I will be using another digi with Derek and his wife Deirdery!

Holiday's over!

Hi everyone,

Well today was the last day of my 9 day break from work. I'm back to it tomorrow (I can't really say boohoo because I am very lucky in that I do actually like my job). Anyway today was my last full crafting day, until my next day off that is hehe so I decided to step away from all my DT work and following themes and just opened my digis folder and kinda did eeny meeny miny mo! I didn't have a clue what colours or anything I just sat at the craft desk and let my imagination run away.

Let's see what I came up with...

I chose this little sweetie (Heart Sign Digi) as I bought her a while ago but haven't had time to colour her up yet.

The card base, viewmaster, swirls and sentiment were all cut on the Cameo

The little birdie embellishment was from That Craft Place as was the black pearl swirl and the black feathers.

The sentiment tickets are from the Tim Holtz Adage Tickets pack.

The image was coloured entirely with Copics and the cardstock used is from Papermill Direct.

The flowers were also cut on the cameo using the Rolled Roses cut file available in the Silhouette Store. I have dabbed icicle Stickles on the tips of the flowers.
The heart pins are from That Craft Place (can you tell which is my favourite craft shop??)

While I love being on all my DT's (watch this space there might just be one more squeezing in next week!!) it is so nice sometimes just to do a 'for the sheer hell of it' card and let your imagination run wild.

I have another post coming up for you tomorrow morning from my Dr Digi DT  I hope you can pop back and take a look tomorrow.
