Redonkadoodles Shy Fairy

Hi everyone, well I'm currently off work for a week so in between days out with the kids I'm getting lots of crafting done. I wanted to share this card with you that I made yesterday. It was another one of those 'Just for fun' cards. I wanted to try out my new purple copics. Up to last week I only had 4 brown and 4 pink copics to try them. I have ummed and aahhhhed for a while as to whether I should continue and get anymore. I took the plunge and after selling off some craft items I don't use or have bought and then decided I don't like, I went ahead last week and ordered quite a few more and now have 115 copics in a mixture of ciaos and sketches. I bought a few from each colour group and then went for my favourite colours and finished off the collection in that colour group. (I am really struggling to get a skintone that works for me though so if anyone could help me with this pleaseeeeee leave me a comment below - much appreciated)

My absolute ultimate all time favourtie colour is purple. So first out of the box was the purple shades. Before now I have been a promarker girl through and through but I found purple promarkers just didn't cut it for me. BUT copics - wow!  I decided to stick to promarkers for the skin (Coral, Sunkissed Pink and blush) I just love this combo and cant seem to match up an equivalent so I may just stick to using PMs for skin.

Anyway enough of me waffling on lets look at the card.

The image is The Shy Fairy from redonkadoodles found HERE
The metal corners, pearls, and cheery lyn butterfly dies are from That Craft Place
The card shape, rolled flowers, tag, and banner are all cut on the Silhouette Cameo also available from That Craft Place

I am really happy with her wings BUT I did intend to glitter them a bit but I forgot!

I finally got round to using the spiral stems Manda sent me in her amazing blog candy that I won, I think I will be off to get some more of these I think they look great.

Thanks for stopping by. I will be back on Sunday with another DT project for Here Come The Boys so come back then!

Lili Of The Valley - GOLF TIME

As some of you may know I LOVE Lili of the Valley but recently I find myself turning to digi stamps more and more as I prefer doing 8x8" cards and I like resizing the digis to fit my cards, something you can not do with rubber stamps, so the Lili of the Valley stamps were abandoned for a while (and I even sold some to raise some money to buy my new Cameo - Sorry LOTV :/)

Anyhow, I recently bought a sketch pad of the vintage boys collection, I wasn't sure about these they save the mess of inking up a stamp but I missed that triumph feeling of stamping an image out myself - daft i know but there ya go!

I worked with this little guy today and really enjoyed colouring him up. Can you spot the bit I missed? HAHA

The card truly is a Lily of the Valley card as everything on there apart from the 6 card cando is from LOTV. The image as I said is from the vintage boys sketch pad found HERE. The papers are from LOTV Country Gent 8x8 paper pack found HERE and the sentiments are from the sentiments stamp set from LOTV found HERE

Right I think 4 blog posts in one day is quite enough so its over and out from me for today!

Kenny K facebook Twilight competition

Another post from me today to show you something I've made my 12 year old daughter for when she returns to school next month. She is Twilight MAD and so when I saw this competition on facebook I knew I had to enter and give her the book I made.

Kenny K digi stamps is running a competition over on their facebook page

The link to download the free Edward digi is on the Kenny K facebook page. Here is what I came up with.

I coloured the image with promarkers using only the 5 Ice Grey shades. I cut the apple, star border and corner on the Cameo and used a notebook I got from That Craft Place HERE. The diamante trim and a huge range of ribbon is also available from That Craft Place.

My daughter was over the moon and showed it to her friends and now I have 2 more to make for her to give to her friends for their birthdays. I better get busy....

NON-DT cards!

Hey everyone, I wanted to show you this card i've been working on over the last few days. I decided to have a break from following themes or doing DT work and just sit at my craft table with a bunch of digis I had already printed and picked one at random and just made it up as I went along! Im pretty chuffed with the result. It's been a while since I have just 'played' and made a card for the hell of it - don't get me wrong I LOVE doing all my DT work but it was lovely to just go with the flow. So I used Princess Honor from Saturated Canary - found HERE

I coloured her with a mixture of Promarkers and Copics. I only have 8 copics (4 x browns and 4 x pinks) so the skin, grass, bow & arrow and ground are all promarkers. The more I use copics the more I am liking them and despite having every promarker I have decided to expand the copics collection so have ordered some blacks as well so I'm now stalking the postie again waiting for my happy post.

I used some lace I had in my stash along with a patterned button and a sentiment tag from Lily of the Valley found HERE. A range of lace, buttons and pearls are available from That Craft Place

The clouds were done using a stencil brush and a cloud template with Broken China distress ink.
I did a video tutorial

As always I used the same papers inside as I did on the front and added a simple Happy Birthday stamp. Papers are Sweet Owl from First Edition papers and the stamp is by Clarity Stamps.
