Mayzy Art Challenge #019 - POLKA DOTS!

It's challenge time again over at MayzyArt and the theme this time is 'Polka Dots' I used the gorgeous Bibis Balloons digi available from Mayzy's shop here.

The image is coloured with Promarkers and Copics. 

The paper is from Dovecrafts Back to Basics III and a few unknown papers from my stash. 

The sentiment is a clarity stamp and the polka dots are liquid pearls.

Catch up Sunday! 

Hey everyone. I thought it was time I caught up on a bit of blogging today. Have done a lot of cards recently but as most are for DT work I cant show you them just yet. However this little beauty is one I did just for fun one day last week. I received a pack of bumble bee embelishments through the post and built the idea for the card from there. Heres how it ended up:

The image is Whispy from Saturated Canary. I love colouring these images as they are all so cute! 

The sentiment is from Little Blue Button Stamps

The card was fussy enough with all the dies so I decided to just emboss the background rather then use papers.

The image is coloured using promarkers 

 Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blue, Baby Pink

Black, Cool Grey 5, 4,3, 2

Raw Sienna, Sunflower, Tulip Yellow, Buttercup.

I used the same sentiment inside the card and also cropped a few more little bees.

Here Come the Boys  Challenge #53 - Ribbon

It's challenge time again over on Here Come The Boys challenge blog. Wow these challenges come round so fast. The theme for this one is 'ribbon' and, of course, must be a card for a boy/man. This is the last of the three cards I was asked to make as a Guest DT Member for Here Come The Boys *insert sad face*. However, the lovely Woo has invited me to make a few more cards so you haven't seen the last of me yet *insert smiley face* Anyway, onto my card:

The image is Walk the Plank from Lili of the Valley

Image is coloured with promarkers

I used alphabet stamps from Alys Inky Fingers to stamp the greeting on Beresfords double sided silk and used cocktail sticks to make little flags.

Happy Birthday Alan! 

OK so his birthday isn't until next week but I know he never looks on here so I'm safe.If you knew my husband you would know he eats, sleeps, breathes football! When MayzyArt brought out a new set fun stamps I just knew I had to use this one for Alans card. The stamp is from the Silly Sports set found here

MayzyArt Challenge  - Sweets!

Everyone loves sweets right? Well right now take yourself over to MayzyArts blog where the latest challenge is all about sweets! Discount codes for MayzyArts Shop are to be won. For my DT card I used Jean - a super sweet stamp from MayzyArt. Doesn't that cupcake just look so sweet. 

Ok let me show you my card, 

The stamp as I said was Jean from Mayzy Art. The base of the card I created myself using the largest of the XXL Frames Frilly #5 dies from Go Kreate I cut two out and scored one of them an inch from the top and used this folded over tab to glue to the front. I then cut a little off the bottom so the card wouldnt fall to one side with all the flowers. You can do this and have it as a rocker card if you dont have it loaded more at either side. 

Here I have an apology to make, I didnt save my document where I keep a note of which colours and papers I used. The computer shut down on me and it was gone!

No. 1 Headteacher - Mrs Allen! 

Mrs Julie Allen took over as the headteacher at my sons school a couple of years ago and the difference she has made to the school since then is amazing. On Friday she was awarded Headteacher of the year for the North award. Well deserved in my opinion. I have sent Mrs Allen many cards and handmade gifts in the past at the end of year and Christmas as you do and have always received heartfelt thanks for them so as soon as Liam told me about Mrs Allens fantastic award of course out came the stamps and pens and dies and lace and flowers and....well you get the picture right. So here is what I came up with . 

The card base was made by die-cutting two spellbinders grand nestabilities and folding over the top inch of one and sticking it to the other. I then trimmed a little off the bottom to stop the card rolling to one side due to the weight of the flowers. 

The words INSPIRE, CHERISH, ACHIEVE, TOGETHER make up the schools logo so using the Lili of the Valley sentiment tags and masking out the words already on the stamps, I printed out the words and stamped the outline of the tags around them. 

The stamp I used was Lili of the Valley- Teddy Bouquet and coloured with promarkers and copics.

Promarkers used:

Teddy: Cocoa, Caramel, Satin, Ivory, 

Flower wrap: Apple, Leaf green, Meadow Green

Flowers: Amber, Tequila Sunrise

Copics:

Flowers, tag & Envelope: R85, R83, R81
