Mayzy Art Challenge #020 - Anything But A Card

It's time for another challenge with Mayzy Art and the theme for this one is Anything But a Card! For my DT project the lovely Mayzy allowed me to work with 4 of her fantastic ballerina stamps to create this tissue box:

The images were all coloured with promarkers for the skin and copics for the hair and clothes.

Ribbon, dewdrops and flowers decorated the lid.

The first stamp is Digi Dancer - Ballet found in Mayzy's shop HERE

Next we have Ballerina which can be found HERE

Ok so technically this isnt a ballerina but shes got a tutu on and ballet shoes so good enough for me lol. This is Tightrope Walker found HERE

And lastly we have Daisy Sprite which you can fine HERE

I hope you can join us in this challenge. Please visit Mayzy Art Blog for details on how to enter and the prize on offer. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.

Just another manic Monday (and Tuesday!)

WOW what a mad hectic couple of days off work. In two days i've managed to:
run out of blank refill ink for my printer so mad dash to tesco for a new cartridge
been asked on another DT :D (more about that in a bit)
make a custom designed card based on a photo and colour scheme
make a father's day card for my dad from Anna & Liam
watch 3 episodes of Wild at Heart with Anna & Liam (we are watching back to back from episode 1!)cuddled up on our new sofa (lush)
Filled my colour ink with the wrong colour in the wrong hole - back to Tesco again
Have lunch out with the hubby
take hubby to Doncaster to watch a special steam train go through the station (YAWN!)
write a blog post for JIC Challenge that went out today
tidy the craft room to make room on the shelves for my new baby - my Cameo.
and FINALLY writing this post!

Ok enough waffling. I was asked a few weeks ago to make a card for a friends mum and dad who have recently sold their narrowboat that they have lived on for 10 years and moved into a holiday lodge. So the challenge was a new home card, with a picture of the lodge on the front and the whole card to incorporate the colour scheme that runs throughout the lodge. Without wanting to put photos of inside my friends parents house on my blog I took from the pictures shades of cream and greys. Well the response from Mark when I showed him was:
"OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT LOVE IT.....!!!!! THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU" so i'm guessing he is happy with it.

All the files are cut on the cameo, my new love! WOW how have I managed without one of these babies for so long?

Next up is the father's day card for my dad from Anna & Liam

The image is Feet up & a cuppa from Dr Digi
The papers are from Papermania capsule collection Spots & Stripes - Brights.

Image is coloured with promarker. Wording and tags cut on the cameo.

OK if you haven't fallen asleep yet, just a quick reminder about the challenges currently running on the blogs where I am a DT member.

And watch this space as I have just been asked into the DT of Creative Creations Challenges. My first challenge with them is in 2 weeks time so I hope you can pop back then and join us.

Hope you have enjoyed this post Im off for a well earned ealy night (is 11:30pm early?)

Catch up Sunday!

Hey everyone. I thought it was time I caught up on a bit of blogging today. Have done a lot of cards recently but as most are for DT work I cant show you them just yet. However this little beauty is one I did just for fun one day last week. I received a pack of bumble bee embelishments through the post and built the idea for the card from there. Heres how it ended up:

The image is Whispy from Saturated Canary. I love colouring these images as they are all so cute!
The sentiment is from Little Blue Button Stamps

The card was fussy enough with all the dies so I decided to just emboss the background rather then use papers.

The image is coloured using promarkers
Coral, Sunkissed Pink, Blue, Baby Pink
Black, Cool Grey 5, 4,3, 2
Raw Sienna, Sunflower, Tulip Yellow, Buttercup.

I used the same sentiment inside the card and also cropped a few more little bees.

I would like to enter this card into the following challenges:

Here Come the Boys  Challenge #53 - Ribbon

It's challenge time again over on Here Come The Boys challenge blog. Wow these challenges come round so fast. The theme for this one is 'ribbon' and, of course, must be a card for a boy/man. This is the last of the three cards I was asked to make as a Guest DT Member for Here Come The Boys *insert sad face*. However, the lovely Woo has invited me to make a few more cards so you haven't seen the last of me yet *insert smiley face* Anyway, onto my card:

The image is Walk the Plank from Lili of the Valley

Image is coloured with promarkers

I used alphabet stamps from Alys Inky Fingers to stamp the greeting on Beresfords double sided silk and used cocktail sticks to make little flags.

I hope you have enjoyed my card. Now take yourself over to Here Come The Boys and add to your link to be in with the chance of winning a great prize. I look forward to seeing what you all come up with.
