I've Cracked It!

Hi everyone,

for those who have been following my blog you will have noticed that most of my cards have been coloured with copics but have used promarkers for the skin. It has taken me an age but I have finally found a copic skin combo that works for me! The card I use is perfect for copics but promarker tends to bleed on it so I was eager to get cracking with finding a combo that works for me. After trying loads I saw on Pinterest I have finally found one I am happy with. Have a look:

So I have settled for E33, E11, E21, E00 and E000

Would love to hear what you think in the comments below.

Now let me show you the final image and card.

I have no idea what has happened to her shoes they were coloured in Black 100 same as her jacket and hat but the flash on the camera has turned them sparkly! Great effect but no idea how.
The image is Brooklyn Babe from Kenny K and is entirely coloured with copics
The base and sentiment were cut on the Cameo
Digi papers are from an unnamed folder on my computer (from before I was organised!)
and the pearls and metals corners are from my stash

Hi Everyone,

It's time for another challenge over at That Craft Place

the theme for this challenge is CHARM

I love using charms on my cards so I was really looking forward to this one. Here is my DT card:

The image is Rockabilly Rebel from The Stamping Chef.
The papers are digi papers from Artful Touch on Etsy
The sentiment is one from a new range by Ditzie Designs at That Craft Place

I used both Copics and Promarkers to colour the image.

Pop back to That Craft Place now to have a look at the other DT projects and to add your entry.

A New DT!

Hi Everyone,

I am very very excited to be writing this blog post as it is my first one as part of the CORE4 Kraft Krew for Kenny K! I was so excited when I heard Kenny K were having a DT call and when I got the email asking me to be one of the CORE4 VIP guest designers I was over the moon!

I will be holding this position for the next 6 months and have many exciting challenges coming up before June. I couldn't wait to get started so as soon as the challenge list was up - I found out the first theme was Anything goes with the twist -  SPARKLE

out came the glitter and here is what I came up with.

I used Craft Star digi from Kenny K Downloads to make this plaque for my craft room. I used a purple marker pen to colour the edges of the plaque then covered it in glossy accents and added some shimmer glitter in purple (this was also added to the carpet, the craft desk, even the dog had a sparkly hint of purple to his fur!)

The image is coloured mainly with copics and promarkers were used for the skin.

I used my Cameo to cut out the lettering and added some little metal flowers with a purple candi in the centre. The bow was made using double sided satin ribbon and a diamante effect slider I had in my stash. The Pearl swirls are from That Craft Place.

I saw this saying on a poster on Pinterest and thought it was great. I typed it out using different fonts and printed in a very light colour. I used my quickie glue pen to go over the writing and added more shimmer glitter (and added a bit more to the carpet and the dog!)
The metal corners are from my stash I got from Dusk till Dawn Crafts

Now all I need is a craft room! I have totally overtaken the dining room and so this is now going on the dining room wall until one of the kids moves out and I can have a spare bedroom for a craft room! (They are only 10 and 12 so I will be waiting a longggggggggg time!)

I hope you have enjoyed my first posting as part of the Kenny K Krafty Krew. Head back to the Kenny K challenge blog to check out what the rest of the Krew have come up with to sparkle you with and to add your own entry. The winner will receive 3 Kenny K images (5 images if you add the Sparkle twist)

All Dressed Up - Inspiration post

Hi everyone,

Anyone else got the January Blues like me. I love Christmas so much I always feel a little sad that its all over now for another year. Anyway to cheer us up lets have a look at another gorgeously sweet stamp from All Dressed Up. This stamp is extra special for me as it is my daughter Anna! I asked Wendy to design me a stamp based on my daughter. These are the photos I gave Wendy to work from:

I also told Wendy that Anna lives in her Converse and is never without her iPad in her hand. Well I was just blown away when Wendy came up with this little cutie

Everything is just so ANNA! even the shorts over the leggings, even though I didn't tell Wendy that this is what Anna wears all the time!

I was originally going to make a card with the image on but as its not Anna birthday until June I went for something a little different:

The plaque is a thick cardboard about 12" long and 6" high. I used my black copic to colour the outer edge and stuck hot pink gems on every scallop. I used the Cameo to cut out the writing and also to make the swirls and the rolled roses. I then used black and hotp ink ribbon to create a bow and a loop to hang it up with.

I coloured the image in with copics and promarkers.

The  digi is now on sale on the All Dressed Up Etsy page.

New Beginnings - Just For Fun Challenges

Hi everyone,

Happy New Year. Here is my first challenge of 2014 with Just For Fun Challenges and our theme this challenge is NEW (New Year, New Home, New Baby, New Job....you get the idea!)

I was going to do a New Job card but then my parents had new neighbours move in next door and asked me to make a New Home card. So here it is...

The image is from Tulip and Friends cd from Docrafts Digital Designer
The writing and doodle border were done on the Silhouette Cameo using Sketch Pens.
I added 4 Card Candi in pale blue to finish off the doodle border.

I used the Sketch Pens. again on the inside to add a message.

Head back over to Just for Fun challenges now to see the other New cards from the DT and to add your entry.

That Craft Place Facebook only challenge

Hi everyone

Happy New Year! (again)

Time for another challenge but this one is a little different. As you know I am on a fab DT team for That Craft Place. For those of you who don't know about That Craft Place let me tell you a little about it. That Craft Place is a craft shop in Eastbourne run by a really lovely couple, Lisa & Danny. As well as having their own website Lisa and Danny also have a Facebook group page for That Craft Place. Now this is the really cool bit. On joining the group you are given a Pigeon Hole number. There's album after album of great stuff that they sell and if you see anything you like you ask for it putting in your pigeon hole. Then on the last day of each month Lisa or Danny will send you a total of what you have in your pigeon hole, you pay by paypal and your goods are sent out to you. Perfect for seeing something but needing to wait for payday at the end of the month! Of course, if you want something there and then you can just ask for you bill now rather then waiting for the end of the month. You really could not ask for a friendlier little (although it really isn't little) craft shop and I am really excited to have booked a couple of days at a hotel next to the craft shop for me and my hubby in March.

Anyway after all that waffling, we are holding a Anything Goes challenge over on That Craft Place Facebook page (there will be no blog entries for this one it is purely for facebook only). Here is my DT card:

The image is from Saturated Canary and was a freebie on a disc that came with Complete Cardmaking with your PC magazine (issue 47) The free disc had some amazing digis on it including 8 from Saturated Canary!
I used my Cameo to cut out the digi (the cameo makes this so easy to do) and also to cut the card blank, the little ballerina dangling from the bow and the sentiment. The writing on the sentiment was done using the sketch pens. The ribbon and flower pearls are also from That Craft Place.

I used copics to colour this image and promarkers to colour the skin.

Pop over to That Craft Place facebook group now to join in the fun (you may need to request to join if you haven't already but there is always someone about so your request should be accepted quickly)
